Song Joong-ki arrived in the Philippines on Friday for his first-ever fan meeting in the country long enamored by K-drama.
Song’s arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) was shared by a health and wellness brand, which includes a snap of the actor flashing a peace sign at the camera.
Another photo showed the actor walking in the airport while surrounded by bodyguards.

The actor is in the Philippines for his “IAM Song Joong-ki: Live in Manila” fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia on Saturday, May 24. According to a release, his first live event in the country will be an “evening full of surprises, laughter, and fan memories that will surely last a lifetime.”
The fan meeting comes after Song was announced as the health and wellness brand’s ambassador last March.
Known as one of the top stars in South Korea, Song made his acting debut in 2008 with the film “A Frozen Flower.” He appeared in multiple supporting roles before earning widespread recognition with the 2010 drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.”
He is also known for his lead roles in “Descendants of the Sun,” “Reborn Rich,” “The Innocent Man,” “Vincenzo,” “Arthdal Chronicles,” and “A Werewolf Boy,” among others./mr
