In the town of Paradise, Montana, a historic hot spring resort quietly fulfills the promise of the town’s idyllic name. Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort is a riverside mountain oasis that has been welcoming guests since 1885—and was a bathing spot for Natives long before that.

The property has four hot spring pools that range in temperature from 100 to 106-degrees-Fahrenheit. There are also two salt-treated pools that are kept a bit cooler (upper 90s to 100 degrees) and a 55-degree cold plunge.

The hot springs at Quinn’s are valued for their mineral content and are considered “Silica Springs” due to the high concentration of silica, a mineral used in skincare that is said to improve skin texture, support collagen production, and promote elasticity. The natural mineral water also has high levels of sodium, which helps maintain blood pressure levels, and sulfate, which is said to help rid the body of toxins and promote healthy hair, skin, and nails.

The hot spring pools may be Quinn’s main attraction, but the resort amenities are what keep visitors coming back. There are several lodging options and a full-service restaurant with a wine list recognized by Wine Spectator magazine. There’s also an event center for hosting large groups — from family reunions and weddings to corporate retreats and business conventions.

Quinn’s has six room types, including two lodges, a duplex cabin, and over 25 standalone cabins. Harwood House Restaurant acts as a gathering place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as does Quinn’s Tavern, a more casual eatery that also has a pool table, gaming machines, and 12 beers on tap.

The restaurants and hot spring pools are open to day visitors, but overnight guests get unlimited pool access included with their booking. Lodging rates start at $289 a night, while a four-hour day-use pool pass starts at $20. There are soaking and swimming options for visitors of all ages, including babies, in addition to an adult-only pool.
