After fluctuations in the prices of edible items, the price of rice increased by Rs10 to Rs20 per kilogram in Lahore. According to details, the premium quality rice is being sold at the rate of Rs570 per kilogram.

Consumers said that they cannot afford to buy daily edible items as their prices are out of reach.

They urged the Punjab government to take immediate notice of the hike in prices of commodities and provide seeds to farmers at cheaper rates.
