Halloween is the one day of the year you can dress up as someone you’re not and no one else can say anything. Growing up, nothing beat dressing up as our favorite characters whether it was princess themed pajamas or dreaming up something amazing for Halloween. However, as we get older, playing dress up starts to become a bit daunting and a little more involved and expensive. Sometimes we don’t want to pull out the cash for a pre-packaged costume and cheap wig. A costume can be as simple as pulling out a dress from your closet and throwing on some accessories to jazz it up. Halloween night is upon us and since there’s no time left, it’s time to think outside of the box and we are here to help!

    Under the Sea

Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat? If you’re in love with shells and the sea, dress as a mermaid this holiday. Think ocean inspired colors like teal or various shades of blue and cascading water. Don’t forget to put on a pencil skirt and finish with glittering makeup, pearls, and hammered bracelets for that last touch of the open water.

    Spells & Potions

Not all witches are wicked! Even the covens love a little Louis. Witches come in all sizes and wear all different kinds of outfits, giving you the freedom to choose what you want to wear. Accessorize with a cute trunk shaped bag and stone rings that align with your aura to enhance your spells. Layer your jewelry and pop on a little hat for the final touch!

    Creatures of the Night

Sensual and edgy, and not the sparkly kind either, a vampire can cleverly disguise themselves amongst the fashionistas of the world. Leathers, shades of red, purple, and black with spikes are just what you need to create a sanguine finish. Throw in some chain linked jewelry and accessories for the perfect finish.

    Hollywood Icons

Grace Kelly. Judy Garland. Marilyn Monroe. Audrey Hepburn. All names we know with iconic styles that we will never forget. Curl your hair, throw on a white dress, put on a bright lipstick, slip into red shoes (classy Loubi red soles) and rock that Monroe bombshell finish. If you’re feeling a little more like taking a trip to Tiffany’s with a cup of joe, a simple form fitting black dress with a dash of pearls, large sunglasses, and updo will complete the perfect Holly finish that even Audrey would approve of.

Whether you’re a fantasy creature or a superhero, there is never a shortage of costumes when you’re creative. There is a bit of magic to Halloween and it’s time to have a little but of Wicked fun to remember!
