    Gold prices remain unchanged, hold record high

    Gold prices in global and local markets remained unchanged on Tuesday, holding at record highs.

    According to the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce stood steady at $3,480, while in Pakistan, the price of 10 grams of gold remained firm at Rs317,815.

    The per tola price was also unchanged at Rs370,700, maintaining its historic peak.

    Market analysts said prices consolidated after recent gains, with no major fluctuations recorded in the trading session.

    Spot gold was steady at $3,476.48 per ounce as of 0947 GMT, after hitting a record high of $3,508.50 earlier in the session. Bullion has gained 32% so far this year.

    US gold futures for December delivery gained 0.9% to $3,546.80.

    Spot silver was down 0.7% at $40.39 per ounce, after hitting its highest since September 2011 in the previous session.

    Platinum lost 0.9% to $1,386.40 and palladium fell 1.5% to $1,120.54.
