For modern collectors and style leaders alike, jewellery is no longer about what’s in fashion. It’s about what feels true. And that, perhaps, is the most powerful trend of all.

For modern collectors and style leaders alike, jewellery is no longer about what’s in fashion. It’s about what feels true. And that, perhaps, is the most powerful trend of all.

Fine jewellery has always mirrored the cultural mood of its time but as we approach 2026, celebrity jewellery moments are doing more than reflecting fashion. They are redefining luxury itself. Across global red carpets and high-visibility fashion appearances, jewellery is no longer a finishing touch. It has become a statement of identity, emotion, and intent.

This shift marks a clear move away from trend-led adornment toward expressive, meaningful luxury, where what you wear tells a story about who you are, what you value, and what legacy you align with.

When Diamonds Stop Whispering and Start Speaking

One of the most defining signals for 2026 is the unapologetic return of statement diamonds. “Oversized stones, dramatic settings, and high-impact silhouettes are reclaiming centre stage. Jewellery today isn’t designed to quietly complement an outfit, it leads the look,” says Leshna Shah, Founder and Chief Creative Director, Irasva.

Appearances by global icons such as Priyanka Chopra at the Met Gala and Kendall Jenner at major red-carpet events underscore this shift. XXL diamond necklaces, bold cocktail rings, and high-jewellery creations worn with confidence signal a renewed appetite for glamour that is fearless, intentional, and commanding.

“Luxury, in this context, is no longer understated, it is expressive,” opines Shah.

    Personalisation as Power, Not Ornament

Equally telling is the rise of personalised jewellery. Custom nameplates, initials, symbolic rings, and monogrammed elements are gaining prominence, transforming jewellery into wearable milestones. Recent appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, featuring monogram-led jewellery details, demonstrate how bespoke design elevates adornment into something deeply personal yet undeniably modern.

This isn’t about excess; it’s about meaning. Personalisation allows wearers to anchor luxury in memory, identity, and narrative, making each piece irreplaceable.

Redefining the Red Carpet: Layers, Sculptures, and Emotion

Mira Gulati, Founder & Principal Designer, Mirari, shares celebrity jewellery moments in 2026 are signalling a shift toward bold, sculptural pieces that blend emotion with artistry. Rooted in Indian luxury yet reimagined for a global audience, these designs favour depth over decoration.

Layered necklaces, in particular, are redefining red-carpet glamour. Isha Ambani’s statement layers, inspired by the legendary diamond necklace of the Maharaja of Nawanagar highlight how heritage references are being reinterpreted through architectural design. Featuring dual diamond rows, bold connector stones, and a dramatic central pendant, the piece demonstrated how layered jewellery can function as a singular, commanding statement.

On the global stage, H.E.R.’s appearance at the 97th Academy Awards in four layered chokers mixing white and yellow diamonds further reinforced the trend. The result was jewellery that conveyed power, individuality, and emotion, rather than ornamentation alone.

    Gold Reimagined and Heritage Reclaimed

For Prerna Khurana, Director, Khurana Jewellery House, 2026 will also mark the strong comeback of bold gold and sculptural designs. In celebrity styling, gold is being reintroduced not as tradition-bound, but as a medium for confidence and self-expression. Sculptural forms allow jewellery to reflect personality while retaining elegance, proof that modern luxury can still honour timeless materials.

She also points to the growing prominence of coloured gemstones and heritage-inspired design. No longer secondary accents, gemstones are now centre-stage storytellers adding emotion, character, and individuality to contemporary looks. When combined with layered silhouettes and artistic craftsmanship, they signal a future where jewellery is both timeless and deeply personal.

    Jewellery as Identity, Not Accessory

Taken together, these moments point toward a future where fine jewellery transcends trend cycles. In 2026, jewellery will not simply adorn, it will communicate. Bold diamonds, personalised details, sculptural gold, layered heirlooms, and experimental formats like ear cuffs and brooches reflect a new luxury language: one rooted in individuality, heritage, and emotional resonance.

For modern collectors and style leaders alike, jewellery is no longer about what’s in fashion. It’s about what feels true. And that, perhaps, is the most powerful trend of all.
