    Rising Dengue Cases Turn Deadly in Hyderabad

    The death toll from dengue fever reached 26 after three more deaths were reported in Hyderabad and 19 new cases were reported from Rawalpindi over the last twenty four hours.

    According to the details, a dengue patient, Mohammad Arshad Madni, 30, resident of Karachi, was admitted to a private hospital in the Latifabad area of Hyderabad and died due to dengue fever.

    He was shifted from Karachi to Hyderabad after his health deteriorated.

    It is necessary to mention here that 793 new cases of dengue fever were reported.

    Currently, there are 233 patients of dengue admitted to different government and private hospitals in Sindh.

    1. 19 new dengue cases reported from Rawalpindi

    District Health Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi reported 19 fresh cases of dengue fever in Rawalpindi during the last twenty-four hours.
    The DHA said that currently 28 dengue patients are admitted in hospitals but no deaths have been reported so far.
    The DHA said that 20,798 people were tested for dengue fever, out of which 1561 people were affected by dengue.
    From January to October 61,96,497 homes were checked for dengue patients, out of which two lakh nine hundred thirty-six were tested positive.
    The DHA said that during the current season, 2,28,794 locations were dismantled after detecting dengue, 1909 locations were sealed, and 3664 were challaned.

    District Health Authority also received over Rs10.13 million in fines for violations of the dengue SOPs.
