Why everyone wants this Suite at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

The Wraparound Terrace Suite at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is iconic for its sweeping views of the Strip and if you book the right side (tips below), you’ll also have front-row seats to the Bellagio fountains. As a Las Vegas local who’s stayed in countless Strip hotels, I can confidently say this is one of my favorite suites, and one of the very few with a private balcony. In this Cosmopolitan Las Vegas hotel review I’m sharing everything you need to know to make the most of your stay: how to get the best views, insider tips, pros and cons, and my honest take on the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Hotel experience.

    About the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas opened on December 15, 2010 and still feels fresh and modern over a decade later. It’s one of the more buzzy casino resorts and is known for it’s residential-styled rooms with private balconies, and breathtaking views.

What makes the Wraparound Terrace Suite special

The views, views, views! It’s pretty hard not to be impressed by the expansive views from the wraparound private terrace, especially if you’re in a Wraparound Terrace Fountain View Suite. They’re bright, airy, spacious and they even include a sleek wet bar area.

Location on the Las Vegas Strip

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is located at the heart of the strip, next to The Shops at Crystals, Aria and Bellagio, and opposite Planet Hollywood. It’s connected to both The Shops at Crystals and Planet Hollywood via bridges so it’s an easy hotel to walk to other places from.

Address: 3708 South Las Vegas Boulevard

    First impressions & check-in experience

I don’t remember my first impression as it was over 15 years ago, before we even moved to Las Vegas. However, I still love how vibrant it is and there’s always new restaurants and bars opening that keeps it fresh and current.

Because we are Marriott Titanium we had access to Marriott’s private, priority check-in which is in a separate lounge. It was fast, they were friendly, and obviously we were very happy as we scored this fantastic upgrade because of our status.

Besides the concierge, the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas also has a 24/7 digital concierge you can use called Rose. She says she’s capable of everything from housekeeping to reservations. It’s a cool concept but she’s only able to handle very basic requests and often gets the answers wrong such as the pool hours. So I’d recommend using the actual concierge located in the hotel lobby.

Inside the Wraparound Terrace Suite at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

My full The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas & Wraparound Terrace Fountain View Suite review and tour. The Wraparound Terrace Fountain View Suite is one of the most iconic and sought-after rooms on the Strip. Spoiler alert, the wraparound balcony and incredible views of the Bellagio fountains didn’t disappoint. If you’re wondering whether it’s worth the upgrade or just here for a little dream hotel inspiration, let’s take a look.

The famous Wraparound Terrace Suite Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

The chic modern decor of this one bedroom suite features pops of deep blue and golden yellow throughout the 1,200 square foot space. A wet bar with a sub-zero wine chiller and separate dining area with seating for four make this an excellent suite for entertaining. Especially when paired with floor-to-ceiling windows, 2 bathrooms (one with shower and one with shower and bath), and a spacious 410 square foot private terrace that wraps around the living room and bedroom, offering stunning panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip.

Wraparound Terrace Suite at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas amenities

This suite has so many features for both convenience and luxury.

The King Bed bedroom is separate from the living area and small but functional. It features a king bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, black out drapes, a table, chair and flat screen TVs with Pay-per-view & satellite channels. It’s not sound proof so if you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs and/or avoid big holidays like Bastille Day (as Paris is opposite) and July 4th.

The Master Bathroom has 2 sinks, a deep soaking bathtub, overhead shower and separate toilet. It also features free toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, moisturizer, hairdryer, and dental kit). As well as lightweight waffle fabric bathrobes which are perfect for the Vegas heat and slippers.

There is an additional guest bathroom with a toilet, sink and large shower located off of the entrance hall.

The wraparound balcony at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

This deserves it’s own section and is pretty much an 180 degree balcony. The view from the Wraparound Fountain View Terrace Suite balcony (5078) and most suites ending in 78 in the Boulevard tower have both the stunning Bellagio fountain view and Las Vegas strip view. Where you can see some of Las Vegas’s most famous icons, including the Paris hotels half-scale Eiffel Tower, and Planet Hollywood. You can also see the mountains and you get the most fantastic sunsets from this side of the hotel.

Pro Tip: The best possible room number is ending in 78 in the Boulevard Tower because this side has the fountain view and strip view VS the other side of the hotel, ending 93, which faces the Las Vegas strip and Harmon Ave.

You can access your wraparound balcony from a few places: the 2 sides of the living area and the bedroom. The balcony is luckily in the shade most of the day and although there are no loungers, there are several chairs and tables.

We wanted to spend a lot of the time out here as it was so pretty, especially at sunset. So stock up your Sub-zero wine fridge or order room service and chill on your private balcony at sunset. If it’s too hot or cold, there’s a bench along the window to sit and enjoy the view in the AC or heat.

Dining options at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

When it comes to dining and nightlife there are numerous bars and restaurants. I’ll do a whole separate review on those as we’ve lived here over 12 years and have been to most of them numerous times.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Hotel review | Pool, spa & other amenities

There are 3 swimming pools, 1 in each tower plus Marquee day club. There are pools and fitness centers in both towers and you’re able to use either, regardless of which tower you’re staying in.

cosmopolitan las vegas hotel review pool boulevard towercosmopolitan las vegas hotel review pool boulevard tower
    Boulevard Tower Pool

The Boulevard Tower Pool has the best view as you can see the Paris hotel Eiffel Tower and it’s more of a party scene and vibe.

the cosmopolitan las vegas hotel review poolthe cosmopolitan las vegas hotel review pool

The Chelsea Pool is just as busy but it’s more family orientated. It’s the same bar and food menu at both. Food and drink recommendations: I love the frozen cosmopolitan cocktail (it’s pretty strong) and Ahi poke bowl. If you’re looking for the day party, head to Marquee Day Club.

There’s a spa and salon, tennis courts, casino, supper clubs, clubs, theater, convention center, and shops. You can also walk across the bridge to more luxury stores at The Shops at Crystals.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Hotel review | Service & overall experience

As you’d expect from a resort casino of this caliber the service we encountered everywhere was so helpful, efficient and friendly. From the room upgrade at check-in to the Happy Anniversary card at dinner, it’s all in the details. This was our second stay here and it’s a Las Vegas strip hotel we’d stay at again and again.

Is the Wraparound Terrace Suite at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas worth it?

We are Marriott Titanium so used points for our stay. Like most Vegas hotels, prices vary wildly depending on things like conventions, holidays and what’s going on in town. However, you can expect to pay from $450-685 plus resort fees. Whether it’s worth it or not is going to depend on how much you normally spend on hotel rooms and how much you’re going to use the suite.

If you’re a Marriott Titanium member, you can try to use one of your Nightly Upgrade Awards (NUAs), which aren’t guaranteed, but it’s worth a try. You can earn points and status through either joining Marriott Bonvoy for free and/or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express card.
